This personal injury case developed from a careless driving accident when W.V.’s vehicle was struck from the side by a merging vehicle. He sustained injuries to his leg, hip, and injuries to his back and went on to incur almost $34,000 in medical bills as a result of this accident. The accident happened on December 13, 2012, at around 5:00 p.m, where W.V. was driving Northbound on Dobson Road having just passed through the intersection of Warner Road in Chandler, Arizona. W.V. was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger in the number two lane when he saw the at-fault driver’s vehicle coming towards him on the left.

Following the collision, W.V. went to Centered by Movement Inc. for treatment and diagnosis, where he was diagnosed with a multiple leg and back injuries including sprain of the lumbar, sprain of thoracic, non-allopathic lesions, and sprain of the neck. He was treated with a course of chiropractic therapy.
Consequently, W.V. then went to Comprehensive Pain Management where he was diagnosed with neck pain, thoracic pain, lumbar pain, knee pain, sacroiliitis, lumbar radicular syndrome, and hip pain. He was ordered to have an MRI of the lumbar spine and left knee and CT and MRI of his cervical spine and provided an orthopedic knee brace.
W.V. then visited The Core Institute, AZ where he was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy, cervical stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, and lumbar radiculopathy. He was recommended for a transforaminal epidural steroid injection and selective nerve block.
W.V. then visited the Biltmore Surgical Center, AZ where he had a selective nerve root block under fluoroscopic guidance done and due to his continued pain, underwent a cervical medial branch block to help fix his leg and back injuries.
In fact, W.V. received 2 treatments over the course of one month from The Core Institute, totaling 5 visits, with Comprehensive Pain Management and was treated 72 times over the course of seven months with Centered by Movement Inc. W.V.’s medical bills totaled approximately $33,991.00
Additional Losses and Insurance
W.V. and his lawyer made a claim for lost wages as he was forced to take time off from his job due to his pain and in order to receive treatment for his leg and back injuries. W.V. also used a worker’s compensation plan during the time he was receiving treatment.
